IN THIS LESSON
A character isn’t just a cool silhouette—it’s a story in motion. In this lesson, we’ll explore how to use aesthetics intentionally to reflect your character’s personality, not just to make something that looks nice. It’s about making design choices that say something deeper.
I often say that an ugly sketch with a great idea is better than a good-looking drawing depicting an uninteresting idea.
One is scalable; the other is not. You can make it good later. The importance of this lesson is to make sure the foundation is set so that when you need to render your character, you're sure it has all the right notes, and you know you want to invest in them further before you even start drawing.
