About the decks

I am a Portuguese-based Illustrator, Concept Artist, and Graphic Designer, synthesizing my love for skateboarding, surfing, and illustration, from the abstract into the physical realm.

Welcome to my portfolio of skateboard and surf deck illustrations. I am a freelance illustrator and concept artist with a passion for creating unique and eye-catching designs for skate and surf brands. My work is inspired by a diverse range of artistic motifs, symbols, and literary and philosophical sources, and I strive to infuse each deck with a profound sense of meaning.

I am committed to capturing the raw essence and profound emotions of skateboarding and surfing, and the whole relationship the rider has with their board and depicting that into artwork, as if the custom skate deck art pieces are portable, walking museums, translated into captivating works of art. My creations are a vibrant explosion of color, an ode to bold energy, and a seamless bridge between the material and the spiritual.

I pay homage to the roots of street culture in my work, drawing inspiration from various art movements spanning from ancient Egyptian aesthetics to contemporary graffiti and sticker bombing.
