Comic Book Art & Visual Storytelling

Images Designed to Hit Like a Punchline

The comic industry is crowded. Your story deserves to stand out.

Whether you're scripting your first indie comic, refining a pitch for a major publisher, or expanding an existing IP into illustrated form—I help translate your story into unforgettable visuals. I’ve worked with first-time creators and seasoned editors alike, always with the same mission: to build striking, story-first art that pulls readers in and doesn’t let go.

From black-and-white action shots that pop off the page to full-color splash pages with cinematic impact, I craft visual storytelling that’s both strategic and stylish. My process is collaborative, paced to your needs, and designed to help you not just make a comic—but make a comic you’re proud of.

Where Ideas Start to Take Shape

This is where the magic begins—before pencils hit paper, before colors breathe life into panels. I take the time to understand what your story needs visually. Whether you're building a new IP or shaping a one-shot indie gem, this is our blueprint moment. Through collaborative moodboards, character archetypes, narrative world-building, and design logic, we figure out what makes your comic yours.

From genre references to character psychology breakdowns, it’s not just about what looks cool—it’s about what fits the story. That's the difference between illustration and storytelling.

Building the World Before Drawing It

This is where I get obsessive—in a good way. I study your themes, tone, target audience, and the vibe you’re after. From cinematography references to lighting palettes and panel flow, I compile everything needed to build a cohesive visual direction.

I treat your comic like a film director treats a script. No random choices. No "just winging it." Every stylistic decision comes from something real—story-first visual strategy that serves your narrative.

  • professional and beautifully shot wacom tablet for digital drawing and design

You'll get a full storytelling pipeline mapped out in a shared board (like Miro or Notion), with thumbnails, pacing breakdowns, character beats, panel flows, and color script suggestions — all easily shareable with your editor or publisher.

  • concept art workstation background, with professional software rendering

I only work on one comic or visual storytelling project at a time. That means I’m not juggling your story alongside a dozen others — your pages get my full focus, from script-to-layout, with thoughtfulness and care across every beat.

  • professional freelance artist taking notes on a macbook and leading a online meeting.

I bring everything from design logic (costume, world, props) to the narrative structure — making sure each page builds your tone and voice. Whether you need a fast-paced indie zine vibe or a slow-burn graphic novel, I help shape how your audience feels as they flip through.

  • resources and physical design books on a professional artist desk

My approach is cinematic — using lighting, composition, body language, and visual rhythm to create impact. I don’t just make pretty panels — I build emotional arcs, pacing tension and silence, guiding the reader like a director through your world.

  • a beautiful selection of sketchbooks being reviewed by a professional artist and designer

Tools include Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, Blender (for block-ins), and whatever format suits your team. I can jump in at any stage — storyboarding, art, layouts, or creative direction — and I keep formats ready for digital, print, or webcomic use.

Sketching That Hits Like a Gut Punch

These sketches? They're where we test adrenaline. Whether it's a high-stakes chase or an intimate emotional beat, this is where the storytelling rhythm starts to show. I block out camera angles, character acting, and emotional beats to make sure every moment feels right before we commit to final render.

Want to make a reader’s pulse spike? This is where that happens.

Real Feedback. Real Progress.

Your story matters, so your voice matters too. Here’s what collaboration actually looks like: notes scribbled right on top of sketches, shared screens with real-time ideas, design decisions backed by story logic.

I don’t ghost. I don’t vanish. You’re part of the process from sketch to finish, with room to explore and refine. It’s your vision—I’m here to elevate it with professional structure and creative fire.

We Work Like Teammates, Not Transactions

I’m not some ghost illustrator you hear from once a month. I’m the kind of collaborator who checks in, throws ideas your way, laughs at dumb puns in your script, and genuinely cares if this thing comes out great.

We’ll talk like real humans. We’ll get hyped about your story. And yeah, we’ll make a killer comic while we’re at it.

Final Art That Slaps

This is the payoff. The full-rendered moment that makes your reader’s jaw drop. Every choice—from the framing to the lighting to the character acting—is rooted in the earlier stages of collaboration. No filler panels. No generic art. Just visual storytelling that elevates your comic and makes it memorable.

Need high-impact splash pages for your Kickstarter? Want cinematic storytelling with indie heart? This is what I live for.

  • Do I need to have a finished script before reaching out?

Not at all. Whether you have a full script, rough outline, or just a vibe, I can help shape it visually. I often work with clients in early concept phases to develop narrative pacing, characters, and page composition.

  • What do you include in comic art services?

From thumbnails to polished pages, you’ll get: penciling, inking, coloring, and lettering — plus pitch deck assets if needed. I also provide breakdowns, process GIFs, and layered files, all organized in a collaborative board like Miro.

  • Can you help me pitch to publishers or run a crowdfunding campaign?

Yes. Many clients use my visual development and final pages to raise funds on Kickstarter or pitch to publishers. I understand what visuals resonate in a pitch, and can help tailor them for your goals.

  • Do you also do concept design for comic IPs?

Absolutely. From character and costume design to props and environments, I can build a full visual bible to keep your comic IP cohesive — ideal for future adaptations into animation, games, or film.

  • Can you take over where another artist left off?

It depends on the project’s needs, but yes — if the files are clean and the style can be matched or adapted, I can jump in to continue, finish, or elevate what’s already there.

  • Are you open to creator-owned projects or royalties?

Yes, I’m open to revenue-share or hybrid models for the right projects. If it’s meaningful and long-term, I’m happy to explore a collaboration that works for both of us.

  • Where are you based and do you work remotely?

I work fully remotely from professional studio setups in Europe and abroad, available across time zones. Real-time collaboration and async feedback loops are part of how I deliver consistent, high-level results.

  • What if I just need cover art or splash pages?

No problem — I offer standalone illustration packages too. Whether it’s a variant cover, a full-spread promotional piece, or a teaser page, we can scope it down to what you need.
